in the eighth grade i fought my best friend on the bus because she didn't like me singing "tennessee" by arrested development. she tried to tell me i wasn't hitting the right notes . things escalated and the next thing i knew, i had her on her back in the seat beating the hell out of her until she grabbed my wrists. so we just stood there ice grilling each other since neither of us good hit each other. the bus driver stopped the bus and made me move up front. we also stayed across the street from each other and by the time we made it home she had apologized.

i do remember getting sorta beat up in the 4th grade. we were playing kick ball against another 4th grade class and when i made it to 3rd base and this boy named robert got pissed. i wasn't messing with him or anything. i was just doing my job. he hauled off and punched me so damn hard in the face that i fell to the ground. i didn't even know what happened until i realized that i was on the ground. he got in trouble and had to get "licks" because of it.

i've had some more but i don't want to seem like a mania.

Ok, I was friends with this girl in middle school and she suddenly turned on me. She tried to turn everyone else against me too. She would gossip about me to her friends, in front of my face! One day I got fed up with her and started cussing her out, but she ignored me. Instead, a few hours later, she SENT one of her friends to hit me. I didn't see this happen, but I KNEW she was behind it. After that person hit me, no, I didn't hit her friend back. I went over there and hit HER back. I socked her upside her head. She socked me in chest. We took a few more hits at each other, before our teacher broke us up. Very strangely, she transferred schools a few weeks after that.

He was in the back of the classroom in a supply closet. He was getting our frogs for disection!!! He called the schools office when he found out that we had been fighting!!! However, Stacy go in more trouble than I did b/c she came into my classroom and started the fight.

and i don't know what was his problem. i found out a couple of weeks later that he liked me but i was like "hells naw!! he knocked me out!!!"

in the sixth grade, i knocked the snot out of this girl named bianca. she liked this boy named brian who liked me. brian was my first public school boyfriend when i transferred from private school in the 4th grade. we were together for a whole weekend! anyway, in the 6th grade she stepped to me about him--i said get out of my face--she pushed me--i laid here azz out.

in the 5th grade, this dude ansel, who was my friend, and i got into it. i knew he liked me too, but i can't for the life of me remember why we got into it. he bucked and because i aint no punk, i got in his face too. but the whole time, i was praying he didn't hit me because i had just seen him wear somebody out like a week before!! lol

see, in elementary school, i was always hated on. when i transferred from private school to public, most people saw me for the first time even though i lived in that neighborhood all of my life. so i was the cute new girl and the boys liked me and the girls didn't. but, i always "almost" got into fights for the most part. my mother blessed me with the gift of intimidation. both of us are short people but i learned how to scare the hell out of people by watching her so i hardly had to come to fisticuffs. there's one facial expression that i make that even to this day, works on all my adversaries.

now, we don't want to get into fights i've had since i've been too grown to be fighting because the list definitely gets longer...not that i'm proud of it, but I AINT NO PUNK!!!! I'M CRUNK BEEEEEEYOTCH!!!!!

Crimson---I have only been in two fights in my entire life and I remember my first one like it was yesterday.

**flashback music: wooooodeeeeewoooooooo...woooodeeeewooooooooooooo**

Picture it....Sicily....1980, I think I was in kindergarten and there was this girl name Tanya. I don't know about ya'll but in my neighborhood all of the girls named "Tanya" were ROUGH!!! Tanya was the type of girl that even the BOYS were scared of. I swear that this girl was 6ft. tall in kindergarten. Anyway, Tanya would always pick on one person every week and lo and behold it was my turn.
So she picked on me all week and she decided that she was going to kick my butt on a Friday.

I am shhh-shhh-shaking because I didn't like to fight and I just knew I was gonna catch a beating. So the bell rings and I start the long walk home (I only lived 5 blocks away but that's hella long when you got a group of people following you home telling you in vivid detail how Tanya was gonna whip my ass).

So out of the crowd comes Tanya (she parted that group of instigators like Moses parting the Red Sea) and she steps to me and we proceed to do the "shoulder tango." That's when two people are shoulder to shoulder going around in circles talking 'bout "whatcha gonna do? no...whatcha GONNA do....uh uhh...WHATCHA gonna do."

And then it happened.....Tanya proceeds to beat me like I stole something....I mean she beat me like a slave, ya'll.

I got one..I got one...

Ok..so..like..in the 7th grade, there was this boy named Ricky. We never had any beef, no problems. We had damn near all of our classes together, so we were cool..so I thought..

One day during PE, we are standing in our numbered space and I was talking to someone else, well Ricky proceeds to assume I was talking about him, and at first I was hella confused, so I'm like no I wasn't talking about you, you tripping. Obviously that didn't make him happy, because this boy up and stole on me with his baseball mit...all up in my face only thing I remember doing..besides crying like a baby was hitting him hard on the shoulder.

As we were being suspended for two days, I was bawling out of control..trying to plead my innocense and I think that must have touched Rickys sensitive side, because he started to appologize for my new basketball size head.

It wasn't until our freshmen year did I finally forgive him, once he professed his love for me ..after that..that was my homie for life.

So after Tanya is done beating me like a slave and making me say my name was Toby, I gather up my tattered shirt (it aint a "girl fight" unless some clothes get ripped) and equally tattered morale and make my way home.

So...I'm going over the fight in my mind trying to figure why none of the punches I landed didn't have any effect. While I'm mumbling to myself (ass whoopin's tend to make you talk to yourself), I come into the house and my mama takes a look at me.

MamaLadylike: What the hell happened to you?!!??
Me: M-m-m-me and T-t-t-annn-yaaa got into a f-f-f-f-ight at the park.
MamaLadylike: Oh, hell no!!! You go back out there and you find that lil' heathen and you whip her ass!!

**looking at my mama in disbelief and wondering why she's trying to send me outside to get killed**

Me: Ma!!!! What?!?!?
MamaLadylike: Either you go back outside and fight that girl or YOU and ME are gonna fight INSIDE.

That was the kind of "pep talk" she gave and I was "inspired" to go back out and find Tanya.

So I find Tanya in the same park where she had laid the smack down on me just moments ago. My mama is in the background watching the whole thing. I walk right up to Tanya and then it happened....
