AOPis at your school
I know there are many people who hate these questions...but I'm just curious! What are the AOPis like at your school?

Now I have a question...
If you know that so many people "HATE" that sort of question, then why ask it?
No offense to anyone, just in a bad mood.

at my school AOPi's have pretty girls..but are known as the stuck up girls that are all clones of each other and you have to have blonde hair...size 0 waist...and you have to be rich. There are a couple cool ones though.

AOPi at my school is outstanding. We used to hang out with them quite often and many of my brothers went out with AOPis. They are beautiful, sweet, intelligent, classy, athletic, and full of spirit.

AOPi's at ISU are very good! They are always a top two choice for rush and have really beautiful girls. They are very kind too- when my grandmother (an AOPi at the same school) passed away... they sent flowers to our family, to me and went out of their way to call me and make sure I was o.k. -- FIRST CLASS ACT!!! OTW - hope things are going better!!!

AOPi at CU-Boulder practically always wins the campus award for best sorority. They are really sweet, genuine, together, and scholastically oriented girls. They also seem to have really good sisterhood. Strangely though - they aren't considered anywhere near the top in terms of "prestige" and their rush numbers are usually in the lower middle for 9 houses. Then again, the other stuff I mentioned probably matters more.

The chapter at ECU has very sweet girls, many of whom are very involved in community service, something I admire.

I pledged in '94 and graduated in '99 so I'm not the most up to date source on this. I do know that Pi Phi and DG have always been the "rich pretty girls with last names you might recognize" houses. Kappa would be up there too but to a lesser extent. Chi O has always had the best numbers and are kind of the cool, party girl house. Theta was a strong house with a lot of cool, diverse women when I was there. I was also under the impression that they were getting stronger every year so I'm not sure where they rank now. I would have said they are smack dab in the middle for nine sororities but like I said, that could have changed.

That question strikes me so incredibly funny and ironic, because of the following:
You know how, whatever the greek scene is at your school, you initially get that
Impression that every chapter nationwide is the same?
AOPi at my school is miserable
They have a horribly weak chapter
And don’t even get invitations for socials.
they do rush a week later
to try to get girls that
couldn't get in to other sororities
I know one AOPi at my Univ
And that is it
I'm sure they're nice girls
they're just all very wierd
and odd girls from the word go
So when my little cousin
Who goes to Auburn
Tells me that she’s in AOPi
I was like
“oh, they’re the worst sorority here”
And then her friend from Alabama
Was like
“Well, How is Pi Phi?”
My Response
“They’re the second to worst sorority here”
It was just Ironic
But I know my cousins chapter to be very strong
as well as the Pi Phi chapter at Alabama
But if you’re planning on taking a trip to visit AOPi’s
Steer clear of Ky

At Murray State University they are one of the two top sororities on campus.I believe there numbers are very high and they are well respected. Also about 6 of my closest friends date AOPis, so I know them well. They are always in stiff competition with AGD. They are a great group of girls and are very fun to be around. Also there is one sitting beside me as I type.

Hi Veruca! Thanks for your quick reply!!
I have a question for you--hope you can answer it! Is it true that an active (in college) cannot write a rec for a prospective (me)? I will be rushing while my cousin is still in college! Thanks!!

At Western Kentucky they have been growing stronger. However, I had an incident last night that was horrible with a member. I was at a fraternity formal in Nashville and one member was bragging about urinating in the elevator of the hotel we were in and the one sister with her was telling her how cool that was. It was very unflattering of AOPi. Other than that, the reputation they have here is of being rich, because their dues are highest on campus by a few hundred I think. The ones I know in class are nice and one of my friends dates one that is so sweet. They are growing, which is good, cause a few years back they were smaller. Anyways, that is what I know of our chapter here. However, I met some AOPi's from Murray also and they were awesome. Sweet, smart and helpful (I was lost and looking for members of my sorority chapter there).
