I've met Sandra Bullock, I just happened to be at my moms work that evening and her brother was in the hospital, she was very nice! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif
I've never met this actress, but my dad's good friend in High School dated Juila Roberts, so my dad has meet her, he said shes very pretty in person and down to earth! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif |
At the newspaper I used to work for (to preface, I'm from Bristol, CT, home of ESPN), I interviewed Derek Jeter, Chris Berman, Dan Patrick, Rob Dibble, Stuart Scott, Rich Eisen, Charley Steiner, Bob Ley, and I've met Lou Pinella, Dicky Barrett (from the Bosstones), Raul Mondesi, Howard Cross (New York Giants Tight End), and Jake Voskuhl (Chicago Bulls center). The guys I didn't interview, I met briefly and was able to talk to.

I actually met LeeLee Sobieski at our chapter house. We were having a big open house, and she was looking at the school. I didn't realize who she was until she introduced herself to the members of the house...I just thought the girl in the corner looked really really familiar.

Less Than Jake are actually friends of one of my friends from Gainesville- not that that means much to you. She's quite old - 26 maybe (which isn't old, but old to be friends with me, a mere 20 yr old). Before "Losers, Kings..." came out, before that had much stature at all, she asked them to play for her 21st - they said if you get a keg, she did, and they played - isn't that cool? |
I met Ted Nugent. He was cool.

I went to high school with Tara Reid..she was a senior when I was a freshman..but the school i went to was TINY, like MAYBE 100-150 students in the whole school..

As far as celebrities, I've met Bobby Orr, Peter Gammons, Dan Gable (wrestling legend), Tim Dwight, and a couple other sports figures, i'll think of em later i'm sure! |
I met Dave from the Real World 9, he was pretty social compared to when he was on the show. On the same night I also met Laura Lifshitz, that girl was a riot!

I didn't *meet* Theo from Road Rules, but I saw him walking by the DKE house one day at LSU.
He used to write a column for the Reveille, our paper. But it got pulled after awhile. It was stupid, or "muy stupido" for our Latin American friends...all the LSU tigers out there will know what I'm talking about http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif |

Juniorgrrl--
I know exactly what you're talking about. LOL. No disrespect to the boy but he's an IDIOT. He came up to one of my sorority sisters and I in the rec to tell us that he liked our handbags. Can we all say LAME????? I didn't even realize that Theo's column was gone. I quit reading it after about the first couple of weeks. Homeboy just gave us a bad rep while he was on the show. |
I think Theo got pulled because the general student body was about to revolt. His column topics included stuff like "I had a party last weekend and someone stole my Tony Sachere's," or "Girls who have been shacking and you see going home early in rumpled clothes"
In every column however, he had one phrase translated into spanish and said "for my latin american friends." It just wasn't funny after the first time. TigerGirl - LOL. What kind of bag was it? Was it at least a Kate Spade http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif |
When I was in high school our basketball team played Koby Bryant's school (Lower or Upper Marion, I forget which) I hope I spelled all of that right. Got his autograph then...kind of funny to see him play in the NBA now.
