Expanding your local to a beta, or Gamma chapter

I wanted to know if there were any local groups out there who have successfully expanded there org to a second chapter. My sorority sisters and I are looking to expand to a second chapter and I wanted to search for some advice on GC. For some reason the search feature did not like the words i used and I came up with nothing. So if there are other posts out there like this one, please direct them to me and if needed, the post can be closed. Any help is appreciated.

We had a Beta chapter at another college in the area, but it folded a few years after it opened. A friend of mine says sororities tend to do that on that campus. :/

I have a lot of interest in trying for a Gamma, but right now our focus is still internal growth... If anyone does have any tips on this though, I would also be really appreciative!

My sorority will be recognizing the charter of our beta chapter on March 18th!

Ya know, for being 85+ years old, TD has never had a beta or a gamma, and none of the chapters on our campus do (Fraternity and sorority)...and some of them are 100+! I dunno why that is, but I think it could be attributed to the very. very. strong desire to stay local, and Otterbein loyal.
