Famous Greeks... or are they???

Reading through the "Did you pledge someone famous" thread, it seems like there are a lot of celebrities who people *think* were Greek, but no one can verify which GLO they belonged to (or if they even went to college). So, if you want to find out if a certain celeb is Greek, post here and let your fellow GC'ers help you investigate.

I think there are 3 or 4 groups that claim Delta Burke, and the only place she went to college was in London...where there are no sororities.

Didn't she also go to Florida? I know that many ZTA chapters put her in the famous listing, but she says (I think it was on Lifetime) that she was never in a house.

I can personally vouch for this. He went to college in Arizona. I've also seen a picture of him as well as a framed, autographed t-shirt in our Headquarters when I went to Leadership School. David Spade rocks!!!

LHT,
Kevin

SigPiTO 02-27-2002 07:11 PM

Hey ktsnake,

You are right about the secret society, George Bush and W. are both in the "skulls" (and I don't mean phi kappa sigma). But they are both Dekes too.

Kris

Thetagurl 02-27-2002 07:30 PM

I knew the first Bush was in a secret society but I did not know about George W. I always heard he was a DEKE but never heard anything about him being in the secret society. That's really interesting

Famous Members

Well, Gamma Sig doesn't have any celeb members (to my knowledge) like you all do. But when people ask I like to tell them about Mrs. Barbara Bush and Mae Jemison, who are honoraries.

Also people like to think that former First Lady Hillary Clinton is a Gamma Sig-probably because her hubby Bill is in Alpha Phi Omega and they're trying to get the brother-sister thang going on :p I wish I could say that's true, but it's not!
